NOVEMBER 2011 COMMUNION SERVICE REPORT
The Communion Service for the month of November 2011 was an extraordinary meeting with the man of God, Pastor Chris. Many anticipated the meeting earnestly, seeking to know the mind of the Spirit for the new month. It was an extraordinary time in God’s presence and we reveled in an awesome fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
PASTOR CHRIS LIVE
The meeting started in earnest first with the Pastor Chris Live Question and Answer Segment; a most inspiring session transmitted to the entire world (members and non-members) via Satellite and terrestrial stations every Sunday by 16:00hrs GMT.
During this segment, the man of God alongside Pastor Lanre Alabi and Pastor Vale Odu-Thomas took ample time to disambiguate the diverse questions that were sent in from the audience with answers from God’s Word; an enlightening segment it really was.
The Quick Vote question of the week ‘Should Christians support the death penalty?’ was also answered by the man of God. The congregation was further enlightened as the man of God shared from the bible reason why Christians should not support the death penalty. He explained that “God gave the death penalty in the Old Testament and He was a part of the judicial system. If it became difficult to tell the truth about who the criminal was, God presented a prophetic way to know without fail who it was. There was the vision of the prophet that He sent, He spoke with signs and wonders and proved to them who the criminal was, so there was no way of making a mistake to kill an innocent man. That is not the way it is today in nations where you have the death penalty. There is no prophetic revelation… they don’t ask a prophet, they ask a judge and witnesses who can’t prove. These are all imperfect and time and time again, there has been a mistake and the wrong man has been found guilty and killed… if it’s possible to make that mistake in one case, then it’s absolutely wrong because we are presenting a system of justice which makes it possible for an innocent man to be killed.. It should be never be brought to a finality where it is not God making the final decision. In the bible days when the death penalty was there, God was involved and He proved Himself by signs and wonders and also His prophetic voice.”
PASTOR CHRIS LIVE
PRAYER DAY
The day of the service also happened to be Day 4 of the Pastor Chris Live prayer day. A recap of the previous prayer day special videos was done. The man of God then led the congregation in prayer as he released the anointing for healing.
NOVEMBER: OUR MONTH
OF VISION
The man of God started this segment by introducing a special publication called Rhapsody of Realties Teevo. This is a special Rhapsody of Realities devotional for the teenagers.
Sharing the message for the month, Pastor Chris admonished the congregation that the month of November is special as it closes up a part of the year and leads in to a very eventful part in December. He also exhorted the congregation on the importance of getting it right in November as it has a direct bearing on the upcoming year.
Taking his reading from Ecc 3:11 - He hath made everything beautiful
in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find
out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. Reading
further he opened Ephesians 1:17 - That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the
Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the
knowledge of him:
The man of God explained that the word translated ‘World’ in Ecclesiastes 3:11 is the Hebrew word ‘Olam’ which means ‘eternity’. Explaining further, he exposited that men have an extra ordinary capacity to see unending visions. He also explained that God is so great and yet He expects to relate with men and also expects man to dominate his environment. This is because the human spirit is limitless.
The man of God finally admonished the congregation to practice seeing with their spirits as this far surpasses seeing with the mind.
THE COMMUNION
After much praying and declarations by the congregation, the man of God moved the service into the Communion segment. Reading from 1 Corinthians 11: 23-24:
For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me”, he gave the instruction “Go ahead and break the bread now”.
Reading further after the breaking of the bread: 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do ye, as oft as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord’s death till He comes”, the man of God gave thanks for the cup “…we thank you Father for the blood of your Son Jesus that was shed for us for the remission of sins. We thank you for the forgiveness of sins in that we have in that blood”. And unanimously across the globe, the online congregation proceeded in taking the wine which signifies the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, drinking it in faith.
He also declared further to the congregation as they took the cup “that cup is a point of contact, every sickness, disease and infirmity is washed away as you drink it. It is our oneness with the Lord, every barrier against you is shattered, nothing can limit you, nothing can withstand you” Halleluyah!
