TCIF Speaks On Universal Health Coverage At UN General Assembly

Trauma Care International Foundation joins others at United Nations high-level meeting on Universal Health Coverage.

The Trauma Care International Foundation was present at the United Nations’ high-level meeting to deliberate on Universal Health Coverage, which took place yesterday,  September 23rd, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, United States. TCIF was represented by her Senior Executive Officer, Dr. Olajumoke Akisanya.

The event was designed as a platform to discuss the underlying barriers that most nations face in accelerating Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Interactive dialogues on the role of UHC in sustainable development, poverty reduction and reducing social inequalities were also promoted among its participants.

Trauma Care International Foundation is an award-winning non-governmental organization instituted by the man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome. Its mission is “to improve the health status and life expectancy of local communities, nations and regions by promoting improved trauma care and emergency response services.” TCIF seeks to improve trauma care and emergency response in its member nations as a contribution to achieving the United Nations’ goals on Universal Health Coverage.

In 2018, the Trauma Care International Foundation earned the Guinness World Records title as the single organization to sign-up the most people to donate blood within an 8-hour period during the World Blood Donor Day program.
