Tuesday 2nd January , Today’s Article: We’re His Witness

WE’RE HIS WITNESSES

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth( Acts 1:8).

A witness is a proof producer; one who has evidence. We produce evidence that Jesus is alive and that His message of salvation is a message that works. Hallelujah! 2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” This is our message.

Jesus brought humanity out of sin so that they might inherit His righteousness. He brought us out of death, pain and penury so that we might have life to the full and live in prosperity, health and wellness. Now we can help those who don’t know Him to discover His light, learn about Him and receive His righteousness. He saved us and made us His partners in saving others.

2 Corinthians 6:1-2 says, We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation).” We’re living in the day of salvation, the day of God’s grace, today. Hallelujah!

As we approach the end of this present world, we’re to live circumspectly, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus (Colossians 1:28). He wants all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). That’s why He sent us to preach the Good News of salvation.

In Matthew 9:37-38, Jesus said to His disciples, “… The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” We’re His labourers for the end-time harvest, sent with the message of His saving power. We’re the bearers of the Gospel of His grace. What an honour!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I’m grateful for the privilege of being your witness, and for entrusting me with the word of reconciliation -the message of your love and grace. I recognize that l am a partner in your divine plan to bring salvation to many and usher them into their glorious inheritance in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
