Saturday 8 June 2019, is a day inscribed on marble, making indelible print in the hearts of thousands of teenagers, and youths in Bayelsa State, as they gathered for the much anticipated Bayelsa Teens Fire Conference with Pastor Obi Umeasiegbu; Zonal Pastor, CE Nigeria South-south Zone 1.
The special outreach program organized by Christ Embassy Bayelsa Teens Ministry, led by Pastor Phrank Oyovwi, witnessed an avalanche of teenagers and youths from different parts of the state, as they converged on the Gabriel Cultural Center Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, South-south Nigeria, venue of the epochal program.
The main auditorium of the Cultural Center, was filled to maximum capacity as well as an overflow outside. The youths were hungry for the word, anticipating a divine touch from God.
The event was filled with diverse activities to enliven attendees including, performances by individuals and groups of teenagers, as well as spirit filled renditions by CE Nigeria South-south Zone 1 LMAM stars.
The event heightened as the zonal pastor of CE NSS Zone 1, Pastor Obi Umeasiegbu took the podium and began to minister to the teeming youths under a special unction of God’s Spirit. Reading from Acts 20:32, Luke 2:41, Colossians 1:26-27 and John 3:3, he unveiled divine truths from scriptures to the youths, urging them to stand up for God in their generation.
Further inspiring the youths he said, “Christ in you is the hope of glory, great men and women don’t get involved in cultism and when you find Christ, you find fulfillment.”
With a record of over 5,000 young people in attendance, 1,500 converts, and a number of them denouncing cultism, destinies were reordered and birthed anew in Christ Jesus.
The Bayelsa Teens Fire Conference was a resounding success and it’s impact will continue to resonate across all quarters for years to come.
