For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ (Galatians 3:27).
Philippians 2:9-10 tells us that God has vested all authority in the wonderful and matchless Name of Jesus: “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.”
From the very moment you confessed His Lordship over your life, the Name of Jesus was named upon you; you were baptized into, and have become a part of, that Name: “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ” (Galatians 3:27). So now, you can answer that Name. Romans 8:17 says “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ…” This means whatever belongs to Jesus belongs to you, including his Name. Remember, the importance of a name is the power behind it and all that that name represents.
Sadly, many Christians have never been taught to understand this reality; they’re ignorant of the triumphant life that God has given us in Christ Jesus. For that reason, they’ve settled for religion; and Christianity isn’t a religion. Christianity is living in the Name of Jesus; it’s the life of God lived out through you. You’re not ordinary. Christ is your life; the Name of Jesus has been named upon you! You’re one with Him, for as He is, so are you in this world (1 John 4:17).
There’s power in the Name of Jesus; use that Name to cast out devils, heal the sick, raise the dead, and live triumphantly in this world to His glory. At the mention of that Name every knee bows; in heaven, in the earth, and under the earth (Philippians 2:10).
